The Best and Worst of Days of our Lives for September 30-October 4

Days of our Lives brought the drama the week of September 30-October 4, 2024. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and Soap Talks has the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Salem this past week.

Best of DAYS

Seeing tender moments between Brady and Marlena tugged at our heartstrings because we know those scenes should have also included John. However, we also know we saw the last of John on September 9 and the late Drake Hogestyn will never air again.

DAYS needed a new teen vixen in the spirit of Jan Spears and they might have one in Sophia. Is she just a misunderstood young vixen or is she just as nuts as Jan and will cause trouble in Salem for years to come? Stay tuned to find out.

There’s never a dull moment when Dr. Wilhelm Rolf is around and there is also rarely a frown. He may be a mad evil scientist, but Rolf is always good for a laugh, especially when he gets together with Kristen. Welcome back, Dr. Rolf.

Worst of DAYS

Body and Soul will always be the worst part of the week until this terrible story ends. DAYS feels like a parody of a soap opera whenever Body and Soul is featured. Plus, it will never, ever make sense that a soap opera is produced in Salem of all places.

Xander needs to calm down. Seeing him hell-bent on killing a man who didn’t purposely try to kill anyone removes all the growth we have seen with this character in the last few years. And Sarah condoning it? That’s a totally out-of-character act.

Maybe Xander does get it from his mother because Fiona is practically diabolical. She doesn’t care who she hurts as she tries to save herself and that’s a problem for this very new character.

Don’t forget to watch new episodes of Days of our Lives on Peacock starting at 6 AM ET each weekday.
