The Best and Worst of General Hospital for October 14-18

General Hospital brought the drama the week of October 14-18, 2024. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and Soap Talks has the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Port Charles this past week.

Best of GH

Sam is Lulu’s match and Lulu will be saved. Despite knowing these were some of her last scenes, Kelly Monaco did a standout job conveying Sam’s shock and joy at being the one who could make Rocco and Dante’s dreams come true.

Holly is Sasha’s mother. That was quite a shock to our system but Emma Samms and Sofia Mattsson work well together and we look forward to seeing what this story brings. It’s definitely a twist and twists are what soaps are made of.

Ric and Ava are absolutely delightful together and we want more. Rick Hearst is currently a recurring player and GH needs to sign him to a contract and pair him with Maura West right away.

Worst of GH

Sam is Lulu’s match, which means she is about to die so Lulu can live. The anvils are there and so is that foreboding feeling as Sam prepares for surgery and never wakes up. Noooooo…

Holly is Sasha’s mother and it makes absolutely no sense. We saw Holly right after Robert was presumed dead, so how did this happen? She wasn’t pregnant so GH is forgetting history for a retcon once again.

Kristina needs to take a chill pill and sit down. The baby’s name was Irene and she belonged to Molly and TJ. Plus, she tripped on a duffel bag and accidentally fell out the window. Ava did NOT push her.
