The Best and Worst of General Hospital for December 2-6

General Hospital brought the drama the week of December 2-6, 2024. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and Soap Talks has the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Port Charles this past week.

Best of GH

Although Lulu walking around eating turkey sandwiches and sipping coffee the day after coming out of a four-year coma is ridiculous, does it really matter when every emotional beat is played? Every Lulu reunion this past week was magical and we can’t wait for more. And neither can Maxie.

Can we please keep Rick Hearst as Ric Lansing? He is everything Port Charles needs and everything Ava needs. Ric still has elements of his old scoundrel self but he is also softer around the edges. Ava and Ric just ooze chemistry and we want more.

After being together since their teens, Molly and TJ were bound to break up because how many relationships that started in high school actually survive? However, their break up was an emotional soapy mess and played all the right notes to break our hearts.

Worst of GH

Since when was Brook Lynn at camp with Cody and Dante? Why is GH rewriting history just so they can have some conflict for Cody? That is what this feels like since the character has no story at the moment and just seems to exist. Retcons don’t work most of the time and GH should learn this by now.

Why does Carly always just appear out of nowhere and never have a story of her own? Listening to her lecture Jason and Drew was painful and we have no idea where she really came from. She just popped up and put her two cents in as always.

Why is Cyrus? What is his actual purpose and why did this soap make him Laura’s brother? We never know if GH is trying to redeem him or not and at this point, he is tiring.
