DAYS Cast Enjoys Respites From Salem Sagas To Focus On Philanthropy

Who else is ready watch their favorite Salem residents do more good deeds IRL when they aren’t busy being so good at being really bad?

This spring the cast of Days Of Our Lives actively engaged in altruistic pursuits. The social media accounts for the show prominently displayed their actors dedication to various philanthropic causes. And who doesn’t love that? Especially the puppies!

The Weakest Link Host Jane Lynch brought current and former DAYS cast members into her lair to weed out the weak. The players included Lindsay Arnold, Bryan Dattilo, Galen Gering, Tina Huang, Victoria Konefal, Martha Madison, Eric Martsolf and Zach Tinker. The episode was filmed more than a year ago, but only recently aired on April 2, 2024. Right off, it became apparent that Zach Tinker was The Weakest Link or at least his castmates believed him to be so as the majority voted for him to be “written off”. The question regarding a sawbuck was his ultimate undoing. For those unfamiliar with the term, sawbuck refers to a 10-dollar bill because it was believed that the X-shaped ends of the sawbuck woodworking tool resembled the Roman numeral for 10.

Martha Madison, formerly known for her portrayal of Belle Black on DAYS, proved to be the strongest link. “I won! Even more important than gaining some cred with my studio pals, I won the opportunity to donate $50,000 to the charity of my choice. Since my passion has always been hospitality and public service, I couldn’t think of a worthier recipient than #WorldCentralKitchen,” Madison wrote on Instagram.
“The simple act of feeding people who are suffering through heartbreaking disasters is a representation of the very best of humanity. They are the ones who light the way.”

In March, Days shared a post for National Puppy Day which featured Greg Vaughan with his dog Koda, James Reynolds with his Lady, Tamara Braun with pals Little and Pearl, and Tamara again with her former foster pup from The Real Bark. “We’re Celebrating #NationalPuppyDay! Some of the cast of #daysofourlives are showing off their furry friends 🐶 #DogsofDays.” Perhaps these adorable sidekicks could make a few cameos in Salem? The Real Bark is a Los Angeles based non-profit focused on saving abandoned and abused dogs from the streets, shelters and sometimes other countries.
