DAYS Recap, April 11: Konstantin Plays Tricks, Ava Feels Fear
Konstantin always seems to have a trick up his sleeve.
On the April 11 episode of Days of our Lives, Steve, John, and Kayla all talked about Konstantin, Ava confessed to Harris, Holly and Tate had a not-so-secret date, and Everett was alarmed.
Steve Tells Some Truths
Steve (Stephen Nichols) snuck up behind Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) in their apartment to present her with more flowers as a peace offering, but she was still smarting from all the secrets he had been keeping. He once again apologized for disappointing her and helping Ava (Tamara Braun) with her Clyde Weston (James Read) problem. He feared losing Tripp (Lucas Adams) and that led to him being stupid and reckless.
Kayla finally spoke and said she would forgive him because she loved him, but she also called him a bonehead for his actions. She just wanted to hold a grudge for a day and he understood. That didn’t stop Steve from trying to win her over by reminiscing about their first wedding.
Kayla informed her husband he was still in the dog house, so he decided to keep himself there by telling Kayla all about John’s life as The Pawn in the Konstantin mess. Kayla was shocked as Steve relayed the tale and admitted to his own guilt and shame about that time in his life. Both Steve and John wanted to deal with what happened and try to put it behind them, just as Konstantin (John Kapelos) vowed to a photo of his daughter that he’d never forgive her murderer.
It seemed Steve wasn’t too sure about Konstantin’s forgiveness act and still worried for Maggie (Suzanne Rogers). When John (Drake Hogestyn) stopped by, Kayla punched him in the chest and then left. John and Steve later discussed the whole Konstantin deal again and wondered if there was more going on back then that they had yet to learn.
Konstantin Fools Maggie
John and Marlena (Deidre Hall) sat down with Tate at The Brady Pub. Marlena tried to reiterate to Tate (Leo Howard) that he couldn’t see Holly (Ashley Puzemis). He agreed with his grandmother but he was also lying when he said it was for the best. When a text from Holly came in, Tate made himself scarce with a trip to the kitchen. That’s when John told Marlena that he had a talk with Harris about putting Konstantin and his past behind him.
Maggie was thrilled that Holly stopped by to pay a visit. She was proud of Holly for telling the truth about the drugs and freeing Tate. Maggie understood Holly’s reasons for lying for the first few weeks she was out of her coma. When Maggie went to the kitchen to get lemon bars, Holly took her burner phone out of her pocket and texted Tate.
Konstantin soon entered the living room where he met Holly for the first time and pretended to be a kind old man from Greece. Maggie remained fooled but Holly just put on a happy face hoping to hear from Tate. Konstantin soon went on to ply Maggie with compliments and she once again fell for all his fake sweetness and lies. He said his travel visa was expiring and he’d have to leave Salem.
Holly Sneaks Away
Holly and Tate met up for a picnic in the park when it should have been nighttime, but Salem didn’t care. They both admitted being forbidden to see one another only made them want to be together more. He brought them some dessert from Sweet Bits and even gave her a jacket while she was cold.
Tate was just happy to be free and outside. He was also happy to be together with Holly — until they ran into Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Kayla. They promised they wouldn’t mention that they saw them together.
Ava Needs Comfort And Help
As soon as Harris (Steve Burton) showed up at Ava’s place, she grabbed him and kissed him so she could forget about Clyde Weston for a while. They ended up in bed where they once again declared their love, but she didn’t tell him she had gotten a call from Clyde. She was just glad to have a man who was good to her, who she could count on, and who wouldn’t abandon her even if she was in trouble.
Ava’s words alarmed Harris as he wondered if she was in some sort of trouble. Ava said she was just thinking about loud and getting too emotional. She was not used to having someone who was so kind to her. She then told Harris she needed to find a new place to live so he asked her to stay with him. Before the day ended, Ava finally told Harris what was going on with Clyde.
Stephanie Wants Answers
Stephanie ran into Everett (Blake Berris) in Horton Square. He told her he was sorry for everything that had been going on but Stephanie was now cold with him. She asked if Everett still had feelings for Jada (Elia Cantu). The answer was an emphatic no because he said he didn’t even know her. That’s why Stephanie was curious why he didn’t sign the divorce papers.
Everett claimed he couldn’t sign divorce papers if he didn’t remember being Jada’s husband. When Stephanie reminded him he was identified as Robert Stein, he quickly told her to never call him that again. Everett quickly apologized for his attitude and admitted he had been beyond stressed about everything.
Everett’s outburst confused even himself. In fact, he was on his way to see Marlena for another session. Stephanie hoped he could get some answers. Stephanie soon ran into Kayla and told her what was going on with Everett.
When Everett got to Marlena’s, he admitted that he was struggling and wished he was anyone but who he was. He once again claimed to Marlena he couldn’t sign the divorce papers as someone else when he wasn’t Robert Stein in his mind. He then admitted he saw more during hypnosis than he originally let on. He saw himself staring back at him and wanted to know what it meant.
Marlena wasn’t completely sure what was going on so she suggested they do another hypnosis session. Everett was immediately alarmed and told her no more hypnosis. He didn’t want to dig and decided that some things were better left unknown. This only left Marlena perplexed.
