DAYS Recap, April 3: Ava and Harris’s Big Date, Wendy’s Trauma

On the April 3 episode of Days of our Lives, Ava and Harris shared a romantic night together, Tripp tried to console Wendy, Xander visited the Salem PD, and Jada had some words with Everett.

Ava and Harris Process What Happened

Ava and Harris settled in for a romantic evening at The Bistro where she relived the night that Harris was shot outside on the loading dock. That was where she found him but Harris said he was grateful for her that night because he was alive all because of Ava.

They decided to forget all that for one night and put it behind them, so Harris got to work fixing up the restaurant and Ava got to work cooking dinner as Harris watched. He said she was easy on the eyes and that was all he wanted to do. Harris was thrilled by the cooking results and thought the garlic-mincing and cheese-grating processes were sexy.

After a lot of sexual innuendo, the pair finally ate their fancy Italian dinner before things took a more serious turn. Ava confessed that she truly thought she was going to lose him while he was in the hospital, calling Harris the strongest, kindest, and most loyal person she’d ever met. She felt blessed to be loved by him. Harris then turned the conversation to a low-calorie, calorie-burning dessert. Ava then promised not to go back to life on the other side of the law ever. She was with a cop now and has had enough.

Wendy Is A Hot Mess

It became more and more clear to Tripp that Wendy was traumatized after being held captive for so many weeks. She was afraid the doors weren’t locked, but Tripp assured her that Ava had the locks changed while they were both in the hospital. Wendy was embarrassed by her paranoia, but Tripp was understanding and supportive, telling her that he would be there for her always.

Wendy told Tripp that every time she closes her eyes she sees the steel walls of the tank they were held captive in and she feels like she can’t breathe. Tripp thought they needed to rewire their brains with happier thoughts. They could even have a frivolous date night. Wendy wasn’t so sure, but Tripp was insistent.

He found his Jenga game and ordered some Chinese food to try to take her mind off of things. Too bad it didn’t work. Wendy still dwelled on everything and worried that it was low oxygen levels that made Tripp want to marry her during their hostage experience. Tripp insisted he wanted her to be his wife and Wendy said she didn’t regret anything either.

However, they needed to talk about Tripp’s previous relationships. Yes, he was with Allie Horton but he also had romances with Ciara Brady and Claire Brady. He claimed he was more serious with Allie than he was with the other women but left Ciara and Claire out of the conversation.

Sadly, Wendy then had a panic attack and Tripp realized she might have been more damaged from the danger than he ever imagined. Perhaps a call to Marlena was in order.

Xander Has The Evidence

When Sarah arrived home, Xander was excited to show her pics of the man the cops thought was him the night Harris was shot. He was definitely not wearing the same jogging pants that Xander wore that night. They were designer pants when Xander’s were a generic knockoff.

When Sarah took a closer look, she realized that Xander was right so they quickly ran off to tell Rafe the news. Rafe listened to what they had to say but he wasn’t confident that this would be all the evidence that they needed. Sarah and Xander returned home more determined than ever to gather more evidence and not ruin their lives together now that they have found one another again. They have a daughter now and Sarah said she was everything. She even brought them back together.

Everett Has A Tale To Tell

Rafe and Jada were done with a day’s work and looked forward to going to the pub for some chowder, but Rafe was delayed by a phone call. Jada went ahead without him and Rafe was shocked by news on the other side of the call.

When Stephanie and Everett met up a The Brady Pub, he was ready to tell her all about his hypnosis session with Marlena. They were awkward with one another but Everett told the story of seeing himself while under and it scared the heck out of him. Everett wasn’t sure what it all meant, but he could see a version of himself looking sinister and cunning. It just didn’t seem like him at all and that left Everett unnerved.

Soon, Jada walked in and made some snide comments about Stephanie and Everett picking up right where they left off. Stephanie asked Jada to not give them a hard time, but Jada wasn’t receptive to that idea. Stephanie decided to tell her that Everett had just come from therapy, so he was trying to get to the bottom of things.

Everett once again promised Jada that he has been telling her the truth as far as he knew it, but he was also aware there was more to his story than even he knew. He then tried to tell Stephanie more about his session with Marlena.

When Rafe arrived at the pub he told Jada what he learned on the phone. She was still married to Bobby Stein, which meant that she was still married to Everett. What does that mean for Jada’s new romance with Rafe?
