DAYS Recap, June 3: EJ Lets Sloan Escape

On the June 3 episode of Days of our Lives, Sloan took off for parts unknown, Melinda tried saving herself, Kristen had a big idea, and Leo found himself in more trouble.

The End of Sloan

Eric (Greg Vaughan) was incensed when he found Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) in the DiMera living room begging for forgiveness. She was able to tell Eric and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) that Eric was Jude’s real dad, but EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) walked in before she was able to get the words out. EJ insisted he was taking her down to the Salem PD but when he got her outside, he once again warned her to keep her mouth shut about Jude’s paternity. After all, there was lots of money to be had.

Later, Eric and Nicole were shocked to see EJ on the ground. He lied and said Sloan knocked him out, but this was really the cover for her escape.

Melinda Has Leverage

Rafe (Galen Gering) tried to arrest Melinda (Tina Huang) for having a hand in Jude’s kidnapping, not even realizing that she masterminded the entire thing. In fact, it was all her idea. Melinda was not about to go down easy and told Rafe if he arrested her, his sister could remain behind bars.

Rafe was shocked that Melinda was holding Gabi’s freedom over his head. She said she was the only one who knew where Gil’s black book was now and if she was behind bars, she would make sure that Gabi also stayed in prison. Rafe had to decide what to do.

Kristen’s New Plan

Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) was surprised when Stefan (Brandon Barash) told her that Melinda was hesitant to re-open Gabi’s case. She couldn’t imagine why since Melinda was once involved with Li Shin (Remington Hoffman).

Kristen then remembered that before Li and Melinda got together, she had a thing for Stefan. To that end, Kristen suggested that Stefan sleep with Melinda to get her to do his bidding. He argued that would be cheating on his wife, so Kristen reminded her brother he already cheated on Gabi when he slept with Ava (Tamara Braun). Stefan was shocked that Kristen knew that information.

Leo Has Another Bad Day

Leo (Greg Rikaart) ran into EJ and Jude outside The Brady Pub and questioned him as to why he didn’t want him to tell Nicole her baby was alive. He knew there was more to this story than EJ was letting on. EJ avoided giving Leo a straight answer and then took off.

When Leo entered the pub, he found an angry Roman (Josh Taylor), who refused to serve him. Roman was furious that Leo let Eric become attached to a kidnapped baby that belonged to Nicole. After Leo left, Roman poured out his feelings to Kate (Lauren Koslow). He couldn’t stand seeing his son so distraught.
