DAYS Recap, June 5: Clyde Blurts Out Abigail Is Alive

On the June 5 episode of Days of our Lives, Chad got the shock of his life, Rafe and Stefan conspired, Eric and Nicole bonded over Jude, and Melinda made EJ a promise.

Chad’s World Is Rocked

Harris (Steve Burton) finally managed to talk Ava (Tamara Braun) out of killing Clyde (James Read) and sent her back to the motel room, telling her he would take care of things. After Ava left, Chad showed up and pointed a gun at Clyde. Chad accused him of killing Abigail on purpose and not because she got in the way.

Clyde was cryptic about his motive as Chad described how Abigail must have felt as she bled out and died. Finally, Clyde said he wouldn’t have known how she felt because he didn’t kill Abigail. In fact, she was still alive. All Chad could do was stand there in disbelief.

Back at the motel, Lucas (Bryan R. Dattilo) told Ava that Goldman was taken into custody and that Chad was on his way to the campgrounds. They both worried about what Chad might do.

Rafe And Stefan Have A Plan

Rafe (Galen Gering) and Stefan (Brandon Barash) sat down in Horton Square to discuss Gabi’s case. Stefan informed Rafe that he gave the black book to Melinda (Tina Huang), but Rafe had some bad news. Due to Melinda’s own legal troubles that he wasn’t about to get into, he knew Melinda wasn’t going to open the case and she was holding onto the book.

Rafe then had the idea to try to shake down Clyde once he was found. He would know that Gil murdered Li Shin, right?

EJ Has A Warning

EJ (Danuiel Feurriegel) stopped by Melinda’s office to tell her that Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) had escaped and he helped her do it. He also knew that Melinda was Sloan’s accomplice. Melinda tried to play dumb but EJ wasn’t buying it. She finally admitted she was ok with what she did because she was helping a friend and Eric was Jude’s real father anyway.

EJ insisted that he was now Jude’s father and made sure Melinda knew to keep her mouth shut. She wanted to stay clean so she agreed but said if the circumstances changed, she would need a hefty payout.

Eric Gives Nicole Advice

Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) were stunned to learn that Melinda was involved in Sloan’s kidnapping Jude, but then the subject turned to the baby himself. Eric then told Nicole all about Jude’s sleeping habits and offered to give her his birth certificate so she could change his name.

Despite that being exactly what EJ wanted, Nicole said she was thinking of keeping the name Jude. Eric confessed he was thinking of her when he named the baby because St. Jude meant hope and strength, something he wanted Nicole to have after she thought she lost her son.
