DAYS Recap, May 10: Marvelous Mother’s Day Madness Throughout Salem

On the May 10 episode of Days of our Lives, moms, aunts, fathers, children, and teens all celebrated Mother’s Day in their own way.

Mothers Of Teens

As EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) and Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) discussed the Jude situation on the phone, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Holly (Ashley Puzemis) interrupted him so they could leave for their Mother’s Day brunch at The Bistro. Tate (Leo Howard) and Theresa (Emily O’Brien) were already there when they arrived. Theresa was sure that Tate arranged for them to run into Holly but he denied it.

Nicole accused Holly of the same thing but EJ admitted he made the reservation and it wasn’t Holly’s idea at all. After Holly told Nicole how much she loved and appreciated her, Holly brought up prom and Nicole immediately told her she wouldn’t be going. Even after Holly insisted she wasn’t going with Tate, Nicole did not care. For this year, she was putting her foot down after what happened on New Year’s Eve.

Trouble For Nicole

Theresa watched with interest as Holly ran from the restaurant. Nicole chased after her as Holly called her out for being a bad mother who has made tons of mistakes and gets to live in a mansion. Holly made one mistake and now no prom.

Sloan and Eric (Greg Vaughan) had just had their own Mother’s Day celebration in which Eric gave her a topaz necklace, but they made it to Horton Square just as Nicole and Holly were arguing. Eric tried talking to Holly while Nicole told Sloan what happened and even got to hold her own baby. At the same time, Dr. Rolf gave EJ the DNA results over the phone. The baby was not his.

Chanel’s Truth Bombs

Chanel (Raven Bowens) canceled Mother’s Day with Paulina (Jackee Harry) because she just didn’t want to deal with her when she had so many other things to think about. Johnny (Carson Boatman) understood as they discussed how raising a special needs baby could put a strain on a marriage. Chanel worried but Johnny said they would get through it.

Paulina soon arrived with remedies for morning sickness, but Chanel told her the truth. She didn’t want to see her because she knew Paulina would make things all about herself. She was still resentful that Paulina exposed her to radiation when she didn’t have to.

Heartwarming Hortons

Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) sat in Horton Square and talked to the plaque of her grandparents, promising them she was restoring their house to its former glory. She also asked for a clue from above on how to open the time capsule.

Thomas and Chad (Billy Flynn) visited Abby’s grave for Mother’s Day and then met up with Julie at The Brady Pub. Thomas couldn’t wait to move back home and gave Julie a Mother’s Day gift — a crocheted piece of wall art for the Horton House.
