DAYS Recap, May 14: Alex Becomes a Very Busy Bee

On the May 14 episode of Days of our Lives, Alex got a surprise from Theresa, Brady confided in Marlena, Kristen delivered big news, and Holly and Tate confirmed their feelings.

Theresa Has a Confession To Make

Theresa (Emily O’Brien) was surprised to see all the frivolous and expensive items that Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) had bought with his inheritance money. He even planned to move back into the Kiriakis mansion as soon as Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), Doug (Bill Hayes), Chad (Billy Flynn), and the kids moved out. He was even going to give Theresa his apartment.

Learning that caused Theresa to tell Alex the truth. She would miss him because she wanted to be with him and not just as his platonic roommate. Alex was surprised by this turn of events but was also pleased. Despite his new relationship with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), Alex had no issue hopping into bed with Theresa, too.

Brady and Marlena Tender Moments

Marlena (Deidre Hall) was happy to see Brady (Eric Martsolf) return from a business trip early. After telling her that he would always think of her as his mother, Brady gave Marlena a Mother’s Day gift — her favorite perfume. Later, the subject turned to Kristen.

He admitted that he didn’t like Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) spending so much time with Alex instead of him, but he wasn’t jealous of Alex and Kristen’s relationship, which was what Kristen wanted.

Kristen Has News

Kristen ran into The Bistro to tell Stefan (Brandon Barash) that there was finally a break in Gabi’s case. Gil’s little black book had his fingerprint in dried blood that belonged to Li Shin (Remington Hoffman). Rafe (Galen Gering) and Jada (Elia Cantu) also arrived to give Stefan the good news.

Stefan wanted to call Gabi immediately and tell her she would soon be free, but Rafe talked him out of it. First, they had to deal with EJ and prayed he would re-open the case.

High School Hijinks

Tate (Leo Howard) and Holly (Ashley Puzemis) met up at school where she admitted she was embarrassed that Tate saw her arguing with Nicole (Arianne Zucker) earlier. He didn’t seem to care and wanted to talk about prom. Sophia found them and told Tate how happy she was to go to prom with him.

Tate later told Holly he didn’t want to lead Sophia on. He became especially alarmed when Holly suggested they not see one another anymore. Tate wouldn’t hear of it so Holly agreed to still meet him on the sly.
