DAYS Recap, May 15: EJ Refuses To Do The Right Thing

On the May 15 episode of Days of our Lives, EJ had some bad news for his siblings, Rafe tried to save his own sibling, Chad made a discovery, and Leo was more confused than ever.

EJ Won’t Relent

Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) told Stefan (Brandon Barash) how happy she was that Gabi might finally be released from prison but warned him that his wife needed to stay away from her. She did her part of the job and wanted Stefan to guarantee her the CEO position, but first, they had to talk to EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel). Kristen wanted to wait for Rafe(Galen Gering), but Stefan was too anxious.

They arrived home and showed EJ the evidence they had against Gil, but EJ wasn’t about to help them. Even when Rafe showed to explain it more, EH refused to relent. He was DA and declared this wasn’t enough proof that Gabi didn’t kill Li (Remington Hoffman), so she would remain behind bars. There was no way he was going to let another DiMera shareholder out of prison.

Ava’s Fears

Earlier, Rafe brought Ava (Tamara Braun) back to the apartment where both Gil and Li were killed so she could try to remember details from the night of Li’s murder. Ava was overwhelmed with guilt thinking that Gil was there to find her but got Li instead. That meant that she was partially responsible for Wendy’s (Victoria Grace) brother’s death.

She insisted she couldn’t remember anything but when she was alone, she seemed spooked. There was something about that night that scared her, but she couldn’t figure out what.

Spectator Mystery

Eric (Greg Vaughan) was pleased to find Thomas at work with Chad (Billy Flynn) and it was apparent that he would be a great dad when Jude grew up. He even gave Thomas a camera since he didn’t have a cell phone yet. Soon Nicole (Arianne Zucker) arrived and told Chad that she found a notebook in her desk. Chad looked at the book and determined that it belonged to Abigail. The last entries were about a week or so before she was killed.

Chad called Jack and learned that Abby was working on a big story about the Salem drug ring before she died. They realized that was right around the time Clyde was released from jail the next time. Could Li’s murder and Abby’s murder be connected?

Leo Needs Answers

Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) was the next person to come across Leo (Greg Rikaart) drunk in the park. She laid into him for going to EJ almost immediately and scamming money out of him. Leo just wanted Jude back with Nicole and asked Sloan how she could live with herself.

Leo also wanted to know why Sloan insisted Nicole would never have her baby. Why would EJ have not taken the baby back immediately? Sloan demanded that Leo stop answering questions and just enjoy all the money EJ handed him.
