DAYS Recap, May 20: Nicole Happily Dreamed of Eric

On the May 20 episode of Days of our Lives, Nicole tried to hide her real feelings, EJ made demands, Holly was almost caught, and Paulina had a good and bad day.

EJ Gets An Eyeful

EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) saw Eric (Greg Vaughan) and a drunken Nicole (Arianne Zucker) kissing, but didn’t let on to what he saw. Instead, he pretended to be a concerned husband and thanked Eric for taking care of his wife and told him to go. Once they were alone, Nicole explained to EJ that Eric called when she was drinking at the bar and arrived to get her safely home.

She also told EJ all about the fight with Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and how she told her that maybe her other babies died for a reason. She wondered if she deserved to lose her other children.

After Nicole went to bed, she dreamed about kissing Eric and telling him she loved him. She knew things would be different if the baby who allegedly died was his.

More Problems For Sloan

Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) was disappointed when Eric didn’t bring home a fancy dinner but perked up when he said that he was trying to save money so they could buy a house. After all, this apartment was way too small for parents and a baby.

After Eric left to take some more photos for work, Sloan settled down with the baby before EJ arrived. He had a change in plans. The guilt of hearing Nicole talk about his lost children got to him so he was planning to take the baby and raise him as his and Nicole’s.

Lady Whistleblower Relents

As Holly and Tate (Leo Howard) discussed her fight with her mother during a late-night meeting on a park bench, they realized their cover was almost blown. Leo (Greg Rikaart) was lurking in the shadows taking everything in. When they found him, they begged him not to put this in his column.

Tate even offered to pay Leo to ignore what he saw. Surprisingly, Leo offered to keep the story to himself for free. He was enamored by young love and wanted Holly and Tate to be happy together. Holly and Tate were relieved as she felt guilt for the horrible things she said to her mother.

Johnny and Chanel’s Doctor’s Appointment

It might have been late at night on what was still technically Mother’s Day, but Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) had their specialist appointment. Sadly, they did not learn much about their baby but they looked forward to being parents anyway. They would have to wait to do more testing later in the pregnancy.

When the pair decided to go to dinner at The Bistro, Paulina (Jackee Harry) was excited to see them. She was there with Melinda (Tina Huang), who just accepted Paulina’s offer to make her district attorney again. Paulina tried to wave Johnny and Chanel over but Chanel promptly turned around and walked out.
