DAYS Recap, May 21: A Wild Night At Small Bar

On the May 21 episode of Days of our Lives, a lot happened during a night out drinking while Chad went in search of the truth.

EJ Gives Sloan An Ultimatum

While she waited for Eric (Greg Vaughan) to bring home pie, Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) opened the door to EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) who had a change of plans. He wanted to take Jude home right away to raise as his and Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker). He was sure if Nicole got her baby back she would quit her job at The Spectator to be a full-time mom and then she wouldn’t be around Eric anymore.

He also told Sloan that he wouldn’t tell anyone she kidnapped Jude if she just left town. He would even bankroll her. EJ left and told Sloan he expected to have the baby in his home soon. Instead of taking Jude to the DiMera mansion, she dropped him off with Roman and Kate and headed to Small Bar.

Kate Has A Warning

Roman (Josh Taylor) was so pleased with Ava’s (Tamara Braun) work that he hired her permanently, but Kate (Lauren Koslow) had some words for Ava. She told her that Harris (Steve Burton) better keep his promise to Lucas (Bryan R. Datillo) soon or they would both learn who Kate really was and it wouldn’t be pretty.

Soon Steve (Stephen Nichols) came by and told Ava that he wanted to talk about Clyde (James Read). He thought they had more evidence against him but Ava still didn’t know where he was. Ava later called Harris and told him about her convos with Steve and Kate. She was getting nervous that Harris might not get the information they needed.

Chad’s Quest

Before Steve found Ava at the pub, Chad (Billy Flynn) dropped by his office to tell him he thought that Clyde was targeting Abby and didn’t just kill her by mistake. Steve wasn’t sure if the book was enough evidence against Clyde, but he agreed to help Chad.

Later, Chad told EJ his theory and even blamed himself and wondered if Clyde killed Abby because he “stole” Abby from Ben all those years ago. Maybe Clyde’s vendetta was against Chad and not Abigail after all.

Back To Small Bar

Leo (Greg Rikaart), Stephanie (Abigail Klein), and Everett (Blake Berris) went out for drinks at Small Bar where Leo tried to remain sober as he watched Stepanie and Everett flirt while he nursed a broken heart. When Sloan walked in, Leo was curious why she would feel the need to get drunk.

Eric was the next to arrive to take his wife home, but she resisted and said she didn’t want to be with him. Everett was alarmed watching them, declared Eric was going to hurt Sloan, and then promptly decked Eric.
