DAYS Recap, May 23: Sloan Blurts Out The Truth To Eric

On the May 23 episode of Days of our Lives, Sloan did what EJ asked, Nicole worried for her husband, Chad was shocked about Everett, and Marlena figured it out.

Eric Gets A Shock

Eric (Greg Vaughan) made sure to pick up Jude first thing and ran into Marlena (Deidre Hall) as he was leaving The Brady Pub. He told her how Everett (Blake Berris) decked him the night before and Marlena wondered what got into him.

Back at the apartment, Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) told Melinda (Tina Huang) that EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) wanted her to give the baby back to Nicole (Arianne Zucker) so that’s exactly what she planned to do, without telling Eric that he was really Jude’s father. Melinda didn’t like the idea but Sloan assured her she’d keep her name out of it.

When Eric returned home, he asked Sloan why she was behaving so strangely, so she told him she had something to say about Jude. Eric barely wanted to listen so Sloan just blurted it out. Jude didn’t belong to them because he was really Nicole’s baby.

EJ Plays It Cool

Nicole questioned EJ about why he didn’t tell her Paulina (Jackee Harry) fired him as DA after reading about it in The Spectator. EJ claimed she was in no shape to hear that news the night before and Nicole conceded that was true.

Nicole was surprised when EJ told her that he planned to initiate a recall election for Paulina and run for mayor himself. Nicole wasn’t sure that was such a good idea since he could hardly juggle being the district attorney with his DiMera Enterprises ambitions.

Later, EJ called one of his minions to make sure they were watching Sloan and Eric’s apartment.

Stephanie Delivers News

Chad (Billy Flynn) got a shock when Stephanie (Abigail Klein) told him that Everett had been arrested the night before after assaulting Eric. Chad was worried for Stepanie since he now knew Everett had violent tendencies.

Stephanie defended Everett and then tried to change the subject. Chad took her cue and told her how happy he was to move back into the Horton House because it was the only place he felt close to Abigail.

Everett Is Two People

Jada (Elia Cantu) was stunned when Everett openly flirted with her in front of Rafe (Galen Gering), right from his jail cell. They brought him to the interrogation room where he claimed his name was Robert Stein. A confused Jada called Marlena to see if she could figure out the situation.

As soon as Marlena walked in, “Bobby” reverted to his Everett persona and had no idea what he was even doing at the Salem PD. Marlena finally believed she’d gotten to the bottom of things, but did she?
