DAYS Recap, May 24: Eric Hands Nicole Her Baby

On the May 24 episode of Days of our Lives, Eric gets devastating news, Nicole gets a big surprise, and Everett gets a diagnosis.

Sloan Tells (Almost) All

Eric (Greg Vaughan) couldn’t believe his ears when Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) announced that Jude belonged to EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker). He quietly asked her to explain so she told him the whole tale of Dimitri arriving with the baby and her deciding to keep him. Eric was horrified that she stole another woman’s child but questioned the DNA test ran after Nicole thought Jude was hers. She claimed she fudged the results.

Sloan said she did it all because she loved him but Eric didn’t want to hear it. When she threw her arms around him sobbing, he pushed her away. Then, he picked up Jude and said he was bringing him back to his rightful parents.

Johnny and Chanel Have News

Nicole’s day improved when Holly (Ashley Puzemis) texted to apologize and tell her that she loved her. EJ was pleased for Nicole, but she was very curious as to why he kept looking at the time. He said he was waiting on a very special delivery.

Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) soon walked in and happily announced her pregnancy. Nicole was thrilled for them and when they were alone, Nicole gifted Chanel with a book she had planned to read to her son. In the foyer, EJ chastised Johnny for agreeing to go ahead with the pregnancy. Johnny told his father that this was Chanel’s decision and he was going to support her.

Eric Arrives With Jude

Finally, the doorbell rang and since EJ was expecting his delivery, he went to the door and found Eric there with the baby. EJ feigned surprise at Eric’s arrival and Eric could hardly get the words out when Nicole came to the door.

He eventually whispered that her baby didn’t die and he was right there before handing a smiling Jude to his mother. Nicole just held him in utter shock and disbelief.

Marlena Shocks Stephanie

Jada (Elia Cantu) and Rafe (Galen Gering) were anxious to hear what Marlena (Deidre Hall) had to say about Everett. She told them that she thought he had dissociative identity disorder (DID) and that both Everett and Bobby lived inside him. Jada thought everything she knew about Bobby finally made sense.

They called Stephanie down to the Salem PD to give her the news. Stephanie was stunned but also worried about Everett because he wasn’t answering her calls.
