DAYS Spoilers, December 4: Doug’s Death Brings More Surprises For Julie

Days of our Lives spoilers for Wednesday, December 4, 2024, promise another day of remembering Doug as a new era for the Horton family begins in Salem.

Julie Meets Another Doug

When Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) makes a nighttime visit to Doug’s (Bill Hayes) grave for one final goodbye, she is shocked to see a young man there and discovers he is Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer), the grandson of her beloved Doug via his son Dougie. Longtime fans will remember that Doug hired Rebecca North to carry Dougie as a surrogate so he could give Hope a sibling. Rebecca ended up keeping Dougie and marrying Robert LeClaire (Robert Clary).

Julie brings Doug III home and introduces him to the family after Ciara (Victoria Konefal) opens the time capsule. However, something goes missing from the capsule. Does young Doug, who has just been released from jail, steal something from the time capsule? He is certainly curious about Horton family history. The Horton cousins are on a search that may lead them to a place that they don’t want to be.

Leo’s Strange Encounter

Leo (Greg Rikaart) is surprised to see Steven Olson (Stephen Schnetzer) in Salem when they meet up in Horton Square. Steven visits the place named for his grandparents and admires the plack with Tom (Macdonald Carey) and Alice Horton’s (Frances Reid) images on it.

Being a scoundrel who claims he has found the light in India, it would make sense that Steven somehow knows Leo. Do they share a shady past and will Leo’s presence in Salem make Steven want to run away before he ever says goodbye to his sister? Perhaps Steven hasn’t changed after all.
