DAYS Spoilers, November 29: Doug’s Death Set To Bring Hope Home

Days of our Lives spoilers for Friday, November 29, promise a sad and heartbreaking day in Salem and beyond as our favorite characters learn of Doug’s death.

Tragedy for Julie

Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) can barely believe her ears when Jack (Matthew Ashford) tells her that her beloved Doug (Bill Hayes) passed away in his sleep. He had not been feeling good for weeks and now he is gone. Julie goes upstairs to say goodbye to her husband and wonders how she can live without him. Expect flashbacks of Doug and Julie’s love story on Friday and next week when all of Salem bids farewell to a legend.

At least Julie receives comfort from her family and is glad to have her grandson home. Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) are shocked by Doug’s death and marvel at the amazing longevity of their marriage.

Word of Doug’s Death Spreads

Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) quickly calls Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and tells her that her father has passed on. Hope is understandably devastated and leans on her son Shawn (Brandon Beemer) for comfort. They both make an effort to get back to Salem as soon as possible even if they have to leave a comatose Bo (Peter Reckell).

Back in Salem, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) delivers the news to Marlena (Deidre Hall). Their good friend Doug is gone. Marlena had just been ready to give Kayla an update on John (Drake Hogestyn). With Kayla’s news, John becomes the furthest thing from Marlena’s mind. They know they must be there for Julie.

As all of Doug’s loved ones learn the terrible news, expect to see many familiar faces in Salem next week for a memorial that will leave you in tears.
