GH – Recap May 1: TJ warns Kristina to stay away from Sonny and Maxie tries to convince Lucy to not be the spokeswoman for Deception.

Curtis drops by Aurora to speak about the potential for the health and fitness branch. Drew says it’s a done deal. All they need is someone to run the division. He asks if Curtis is interested.

Aiden drops off baked goods for Liz to a nurse at the nurses’ station. As he tries to catch the elevator, Liz catches him. There’s a splash of pink paint on his backpack.

Maxie begs Scotty to stop Lucy from becoming the spokesperson for Deception. Scott knows he can’t talk Lucy out of anything. Maxie says he needs to try because Home & Heart doesn’t want her back. Scott offers to sue Home & Heart but knows it won’t work because they have the right to have whoever they want on their show. Lucy bounces into the room in a red dress and sunglasses, thrilled about her popularity on social media.

TJ and Molly have Kristina over for breakfast. She is pleased with the invitation and talks about the baby moving around a lot last night. This triggers TJ into asking a lot of invasive health questions like is Kristina is getting enough sleep. As evidence of his concerns, he mentions her late night visit to Molly.

Natalia drops by The Invader to speak with Alexis unannounced. She invites her in. When Alexis says she has heard of her, Natalia knows not all of it is good. Natalia confesses that she and Kristina had a bumpy start because she met her when Blaze and Kristina were in bed together. Natalia says she has met Sonny and Alexis is surprised to hear that Sonny says they get along well. Natalia says she knows how much Kristina loves her father and was surprised at his acceptance. She was also surprised that Kristina is pregnant with her sister’s baby.

Molly reminds TJ that she already explained about the fight between Josslyn and Kristina. Kristina downplays the incident since Josslyn apologized and what Josslyn said turned out to be true. She is still sensitive and protective over her father. TJ suggests that Kristina should stay away from ‘that side’ of the family to keep herself and the baby safe.

Aiden dropped the cupcakes off for Amy’s party and tells his mother that he is late for class. Liz asks for a hug and asks why there is paint on his backpack.

Drew hands Curtis an employment packet. Curtis believes it will be a huge change to his life. Drew says there is no one else he trusts more. Appearing at Drew’s office door, Nina butts in to agree with Drew on the trust and asks what Drew is trusting him with.

Aiden says the paint stain happened in art class. Liz says last week he came home with paint in his hair. Aiden reiterates that it’s art class. He suggests he could steal one of his brother’s old backpacks and insists on leaving. A worried Liz heads over to Portia who is excited about the cupcakes.

Alexis explains that Kristina is helping Molly with her fertility issues. Natalis thinks it presents some complications for Blaze and Kristina’s relationship. Alexis was under the impression that Blaze was supportive. Natalia isn’t worried about Blaze but the public’s perception. Alexis catches onto the idea that Natalia wants more than a meet and greet. She tries to end the conversation. Natalia presses that Allison as Blaze she won’t have a private life. She worries that reporters will assume the baby is the couple’s. Alexis does not get the point. Natalia thinks a photo could change their lives.

Kristina takes offense to TJ wanting her to stay away from her family. She doesn’t believe it is necessary or healthy to take away the support of her family. She gets up and leaves. Molly confronts TJ.

Nina continues to insert herself into the situation with Curtis to Drew’s annoyance. She tells Curtis not to take the first offer and implies Drew might screw him over. Drew counters that she hasn’t been complaining (referencing their recent trysts.) Nina advises that before he gets into bed with Drew that he knows what he is getting into. Curtis looks between them, sensing the tension.

Lucy offers to take Scotty back to her office and watch her segment. She talks about taking notes and Marlyn Monroes’ acting techniques. A frustrated Maxie says the pitchwoman does not need to be an actress. She needs to be genuine. Maxie insists that the first thing Lucy needs to do is mention the product. Lucy agrees and offers options for putting her name on the Deceptor. Maxie insists that Scotty tell her the truth. Scotty holds her shoulders and gently tells Lucy that the segment was a disaster. Lucy slaps his hands away.

Lucy believes she was a success and completely crushed it. Maxie says it was a dumpster fire. Maxie lists how Lucy talked about herself and her history but didn’t mention the product. Lucy thinks Maxie is being rude like Haven. Maxie makes Scotty talk to him. Lucy says the sales are high and Maxie agrees but not because of her.

Curtis asks Nina and Drew to play nice as he escapes the office. Nina thinks Drew is using Curtis and insists that he is her friend. Drew says he is his friend too and asks her why she is really there.

Liz believes Aiden is being bullied. Portia says check in with his counselors.

Molly reads TJ the riot act for his behavior. TJ says he isn’t going to stop and insists that it is common sense to stay out of the line of fire. Molly doesn’t think he can ask Kristina to stay away from Sonny. TJ says tell that to Curtis and says making her stay away from Sonny is for the safety of their child.

Alexis says as a mother she would hate to see either of the girls dragged through the mud, but she is confident that they can weather any storm. Natalia calls her idealistic. She thinks the fallout for Allison would be a lot different for Kristina. Alexis questions that. Natalia thinks it is obvious because her daughter is a star and Alexis’ daughter is just a bartender. Alexis suggests that if she has an issues with Blaze’s image, she should take it up with Blaze. She ushers the woman out. She calls Diane, hets her voicemail. She complains about Diane not being there when she needs to vent and says she met Natalia and it wasn’t pretty.

Molly tells TJ that they cannot constantly police Kristina. TJ is upset by how Molly is calling him controlling. He says he is a doctor. Molly counters that he isn’t Kristina’s doctor which is good because she needs to not feel judged. TJ maybe she should be judged and thinks they should have some say in her life because it’s their baby. Molly says they can’t control her every move. He seems to think this is because she is Molly’s sister and with a surrogate it would be easier. Molly is upset because he implies that now they can never get rid of her.

Curtis meets Portia at the Metro Court to tell her about his potential business deal with Drew. Portia is surprised that they want Curtis in charge of Auroro’s health division. He wants her opinion on whether or not he should accept the job.

Nina is against Willow’s new spokesperson position. She worries about Willow’s medical privacy. Drew thinks Willow can jumpstart the whole project and that the decision is hers. Nina accepts that and extends an invitation to meet McConkey. Drew wants to know what’s in it for her because she is being accommodating.

Portia belives between the club and Aurora Curtis is taking on too much too soon. Curtis thinks it’s not because of Nika and his father stepping in to help. Portia wants to know if he is comfortable splitting his time since at one point the Savoy was his dream. Curtis says he will build time into his schedule for Savoy. Portia thinks this will give Selina Woo the chance to take his club.

Maxie says they were way under their minimum of sales when Lucy was on stage. Sasha got the numbers. Lucy insists that her fans waited until she was finished to purchase. Maxie disagrees. Even if there were a 1000 die-hard Lucy fans, Sasha got the real sales. Scotty is put on the spot to agree with Lucy. He backs up Maxie to Lucy’s chagrin.

TJ denies wanting to get rid of Kristina, but he doesn’t love her baggage. Molly understands that because she may end up prosecuting Sonny. TJ says he also has concerns about Kristina. Molly believes they already came to an understanding and Kristina genuinely wants to help. TJ worries that it won’t be long before she inserts herself into their lives and wants to parent their child. TJ believes Kristina being the biological mom presents problems. Molly insists that Kristina has changed for the better. TJ says they’ll see since they have no choice.

An upset Kristina goes to see Alexis for comfort and recounts what happened at Molly and TJ’s. She says she is not giving up on Sonny and her worry about Ava in his home. Alexis says the hormones are working on her and her hair. She thinks everyone is emotional. Alexis offers to talk to Molly and TJ on her behalf. The baby kicks and Kristina calls it ‘her baby.’ Alexis is worried.

Alexis touches Kristina’s belly to experience the kicks. Alexis shares that Kristina kicked that hard. Kristina says maybe the baby takes after her.

Molly tells TJ it’s too late for buyer’s remorse and she needs to leave for work. TJ doesn’t want to fight. He wants it to be a good experience for both of them. She agrees and they kiss before she leaves. Leaning against the door, TJ is upset. Molly leaves, also upset.

The nurse at the desk warns Liz that the cupcakes are almost gone if she wants one. Liz calls the counselor’s office at school to make an appointment.

Scotty says the numbers don’t lie. Maxie reminds Lucy that the company isn’t just one person’s. They need to sell, and Lucy is the wrong spokesperson. Lucy accepts but reminds Maxie that there is no one else. Sasha quie and Blaze’s mom won’t allow her to do it. Maxie says there is.

Curtis isn’t worried about Selina. Portia admits her real concern is that she doesn’t want to be away from him. Curtis believes he can do the job and build something he can be proud of. Portia can’t say no to that and says it looks like he made his decision.

Nina says there is something in it for everyone. Drew gets McConkey and she gets access to her daughter. Curtis calls to accept the job.
