Gregory calls the past ancient history and says Finn has been his rock. He lists the things Finn has done for him and put up with, including his orneriness because of the disease. Finn says he is in awe of his father for still embracing life. Gregory says now is all he has. Violet returns in PJs and Gregory tells her how to preserve her flowers. Violet says goodnight and Finn is surprised she turns down being tucked in. Finn thinks Violet is growing up so fast and he had a vision of her wedding. Gregory consoles him that Violet will always need her dad.
Kristina reaches the bathroom across from the ballroom at the Metro Court, crying and trembling. She calls Allie saying she needs her. Sonny bursts into the bathroom, asking her to let him explain.
Brook Lynn and Chase are in bed, relaxing. She asks how he feels about Jackie (Chase’s mother) not being at the wedding. Chase was disappointed at first but because of the awkwardness after the history with Finn came out, he understands why she bowed out. Brook Lynn is happy that Chase’s dad was the one to officiate.
Gregory apologizes for the fight they had the other day. Finn dismisses it. Gregory says he was angry and bitter at his disease. He hated feeling helpless and lashed out in a petty, vicious way. He insists he is not holding on to past injury and he regrets it. He says he loves both his sons fiercely for who they are. He tells Finn that he is a good man, a loving father, and he is doing a wonderful job raising Violet. Finn says it’s easy because he thinks of what his dad would do and calls Gregory the best father in the world. Gregory reiterates that Finn is a good son. Finn hopes he is half the man his father thinks he is. Gregory confirms that he is doing fine. Finn tells him he loves him.
Carly arrives asking for Sonny. Jason says he was out of control. He noticed how Sonny was watching Dex at the reception. Sonny didn’t like Lois’ mom making a big deal out of Dex. Jason followed Sonny when he went after Dex and grabbed him. Carly asks if Sonny planned to do this in a public place in front of everyone. They both know he is reeling. They go off to find Sonny.
Sonny asks Kristina to listen to him. She says no. He goes on about Dex and Jason betraying him. He tries to reach out to comfort/calm her, and she flinches. She wants him to leave. Sonny tells her not to be afraid of him. Kristina makes him leave. Crying, she kneels, telling herself (and unborn baby) that everything is going to be okay.
Jack Brennan asks about Anna’s outfit. Anna was having a lovely evening before she got the call. She tells him he is projected to make a full recovery because miraculously the stabbing missed any major organs. He makes a crack about his privacy. She taps herself and says police commissioner. She asks him what happened. He says the thugs in Pentonville were too much for him.
Finn follows Gregory into his room. In a very sweet moment, Finn helps him get out of his jacket and shoes. Gregory allows him to help him with his cuffs. Gregory quips, don’t even think about tucking me in. Finn says Violet turned him down, so what did he expect? They say goodnight. Finn sits in the dark living room and calls Alexis. He drops the bomb that he drank on her as she is asking how the wedding was.
Blaze arrives and drops next to Kristina. Kristina tells her about Sonny’s vicious attack on Dex.
Carly talks to security to get them to look for Sonny. Jason says Sonny’s car is still there and there are none of his guys around. Security calls to tell Carly Sonny is in the garden. They go together. Jason believes seeing him will set Sonny off, but he can’t let Carly go alone.
Dex is at GH with Joss and tries to go home. He doesn’t want her to wait. Joss ignores that and asks how he is. She suggests he might need a CT scan. Dex didn’t want to fight back and kept trying to dodge Sonny. He believes Sonny was going to kill him.
In the garden, Sonny is still angry and pulls off his suit jacket. Carly enters, Jason stays outside to watch. He asks if Jason sent her. He demands to know why Carly stopped him (when he tried to kill Dex in the woods.) He tells her he had Dex until Jason grabbed his arm and he told Dex and Jason that he would kill them. Carly asks if that’s what Kristina heard. He doesn’t know. She asks where Kristina is. He says the restroom. Sonny is devastated that his little girl is afraid of him.
Chase and Brook Lynn talk about the wedding pictures. They gush about Violet catching the bouquet and singing. She is so glad that everyone had a great time. They kiss.
Blaze asks if Kristina has any pain. Kristina denies it’s the baby. It’s her dad. She feels foolish because everyone tried to tell her, and she didn’t believe them. She believed he had a code of ethics, and she has been defending him. She doesn’t recognize him. He was so angry and violent. He said he would empty a gun into their heads.
Finn tells Alexis how Carmine handed him the drink and he wasn’t going to drink it but then ended up drinking it when they were toasting Violet. He thought it was an accident. Alexis asks if he meant to drink. She says a slip is a slip and she insists that he didn’t fail. Finn says seven years sober, and it’s gone in 60 secs.
Sonny makes excuses, talking about things he needed to hide from his daughter to keep her safe. He sits and Carly kneels beside him. She puts a hand on his arm to comfort him, saying that’s just one part of Sonny Corinthos, and it’s not outmatched by the loving father part. Kristina looked scared and when he reached for her, she flinched. Carly says Kristina is confused. She needs to calm down and process. In time, she will remember the father that she has always loved. Sonny is unsure if anyone loves him anymore. Outside, Jason shakes his head in disbelief.
Anna remembers that Brennan was always first in hand-to-hand. He tries to say time has made him feeble and lax. She says that’s not what she thinks. The placement of the wound is suspicious and asks him if he stabbed himself to get a change of scenery. He complains it’s not fair for her to interrogate a helpless victim. She denies his weakness. She says he is never more dangerous than when he appears helpless.
Dex is upset because he expected to see recognition or care in Sonny’s eyes. Joss says Sonny only ever loves you or hates you. She gives credit to Jason for saving him. Dex says Kristina stopped Sonny.
Alexis tells Finn that people slip up and that’s what the chips are for. Finn isn’t so sure. She says it was a misstep and he can find his footing again. She asks him to reassure her that he knows that this isn’t the end of his sobriety.
Carly tells Sonny that his children love him. Sonny replies that she didn’t see Kristina’s face. Carly says that he can’t explain what happened away, but it is one moment against a lifetime of love and support. She believes he will get Kristina back, but he needs to give her time.
Dex wants to know why Joss asked Jason to protect him. Joss says she loves him and that was never a problem.
Blaze wants to take Kristina back to her room. Kristina doesn’t want to be alone. Blaze is not going to leave her alone.
Sonny concedes that Carly might be right. The memory might fade but she isn’t going to forget. There is always a part of Kristina that is going to be afraid that he might do it again. She says then don’t do it again. Sonny can’t promise that. Jason comes out of the shadows when Sonny exits. Carly is not sure if she got through to Sonny. Jason believes she did. Carly is scared for him. She hugs Jason.
Anna asks about Carly coming to visit him after the last time where he was going to zip tie her and drag her off. Brennan tries to compare zip ties to pocket tissues. She scoffs. He backs down and tells Anna cheekily that he is so hot for Carly that he stabbed himself just so she would visit. Anna laughs and comments on the twinkle in his eye. She calls him good but insists she is better.
Finn thanks Alexis for talking him down off the ledge. He wishes her luck on the case. She tells him to be good to himself.
Brook Lynn is so glad they have their lives ahead of them. She turns to tell Chase, but he is already asleep. She cuddles up to him.
