GH Spoilers, April 17: Ava Walks A Fine Line, Carly And John Bond

On the April 17 episode of General Hospital, spoilers tease Ava keeping a secret, Carly and John growing friendlier, Cyrus spilling, and Dex changing his life.

Will Sonny Be Tricked?

Ava (Maura West) seems to still be the only person that Sonny (Maurice Benard) thinks he can count on. As he goes over his list of perceived enemies, Ava is shocked by just how many people Sonny wants to cut from his life. They were all people he loved at one time but now they feel they have turned on him.

As Sonny lets out his anger with Ava as his sounding board, she finds she has to cover for herself and keep a secret. Does she not let on that she took his bipolar meds or is there something about Nina (Cynthia Watros) she is trying to keep hidden? Letting Nina believe selling the Metro Court to Jason was a way to score points with Sonny probably wasn’t a nice thing to do to Nina, but what things can she keep from Sonny?

Carly’s New Friend

John Cates (Adam Harrington) didn’t mean to become friends with Carly (Laura Wright), but it just sort of happened. To him, she was just a name in a file and a person he had been holding over Jason’s (Steve Burton) head but now she is real and she is not the person he thought she was.

As John and Carly get to know one another better, will John want to know more? How will Carly react when she learns her new friend kept Jason from her for all this time?

Cyrus Has A Tale To Tell

Laura (Genie Francis) has a talk with Cyrus (Jeff Kober) about what happened on New Year’s Eve with Sonny and wonders why he dropped the charges. Will he mention Nina promising him a televangelist show if he did?

When Cyrus goes on the record with Anna (Finola Hughes), does that mean Laura convinced him to change his mind and put Sonny behind bars?

Dex Is Determined

Dex (Evan Hofer) has to take the next step to become a cop and enters into training with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). He is going to start a new life and even try to get Josslyn (Eden McCoy) back, but first, he has to prove that Anna didn’t make a mistake in hiring him.

Will Joss even take him back at this point knowing what he was willing to do for Sonny?
