GH Spoilers, August 20: A New Beginning for Nina and Ava

General Hospital spoilers for Tuesday, August 20, 2024, reveal Ava groveling to Nina, but will Nina hear what she has to say?

Ava Admits Her Mistakes

When Ava (Maura West) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) had their falling out earlier this year, Ava was sure she was doing the right thing for herself. She was happy in Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) orbit and didn’t want anyone to take away her new status as Sonny’s confidante.

Now that Sonny and Ava are more on the outs than ever, Ava realizes the error of her ways and visits Nina to tell her so. The two former BFFs talk about what happened between them as Ava is desperate for a friend after screwing up her life so badly. Is Nina ready to forgive or will Ava find herself with nobody by her side?

Sonny’s Promise

Meanwhile, Sonny is determined to make Ava pay for what she did to Kristina (Kate Mansi) — or at least what he thinks she did. Sonny promises Kristina that he will take care of their Ava problem as well as her legal problems.

Little do they know that John (Adam Harrington) is still on the warpath. When John sees his plans going awry once again, he loses his cool. Will Ava witness this moment after her talk with Nina?

Is Lulu Ready to Wake?

Now that there has been a change in Lulu’s condition, Laura (Genie Francis) is more desperate than ever to find Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). If Lulu actually comes out of her coma, Laura wants Lulu’s children there by her side. To that end, Laura and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) strategize a next move.

Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) is also affected by the news about Lulu and opens up to a nervous Sam (Kelly Monaco) about his feelings. Will Sam begin to feel insecure in her relationship?
