Is L&B Records Making A Comeback? Vanessa Marcil & Rena Sofer Are Reuniting

Finally, Brenda & Lois Are Back Together Again, Sort Of…
The 90s are back! Well sort of. Rena Sofer announced on her Instagram account that she and Vanessa Marcil are hosting a virtual fan event, on May 3rd.
“Who’s joining me and [Vanessa Marcil] for our Zoom with your favorite animals?? It’s May 3 so it’s coming up!! Buy tix and let’s chat!!,” Sofer wrote. And being an animal lover, she encouraged fans to “Bring your pets to our Zoom too!”
So sadly, no, it’s not exactly the exciting news fans have longed for; L&B Records will not be making a comeback, and as there are no current plans for Marcil to step back into the stilettos of Brenda Barrett, Lois and Brenda will not be back together again. But with everything going on in Port Charles, at the moment, can you imagine the delicious chaos that would ensue if such a thing were to occur?!
For fans who may not remember, or hadn’t yet fallen in love with G.H. here’s a quick recap of the history of Lois Cerullo and Brenda Barrett’s friendship; Lois came to Port Charles after falling in love and marrying Eddie Maine, the Rockstar alter ego of Ned Ashton (Quartermaine). And, soon after she was reacquainted with her old friend from Bensonhurst, Sonny, whose girlfriend at this time was Brenda. So, it was through Sonny that Lois became best friends with Brenda, and eventually the two decided to open their own record label with Sonny as their financial investor. And that is how L&B Records and a lifelong friendship on and off screen was born!
On September 14, 2020, Marcil posted a photo of herself and Sofer from the 90s to her Instagram account and wrote in the caption, “[Rena Sofer] just sent this to me. On the ferry in NY after filming Ned and Lois’ wedding in Brooklyn. We had the best time working together always. We are soul sisters for life.”
