Many Sultry & Troubling Revelations Came Out During Gregory’s Memorial

Gregory’s memorial was as touching as it was revealing, and at times troubling. Not only were Finn’s deceptions and strange behavior revealed to Elizabeth and Chase, while both Alexis and Tracy confessed their affections for Gregory. and, how about the missing mourners?

In recent episodes, Finn has exhibited a strange and absent demeanor offset by moments of extreme grief only when he is alone, and he used a convoluted story to try and convince Elizabeth that he isn’t an alcoholic. None of this bodes well for his sobriety, which Chase discovered doesn’t currently exist for Finn.

Both Alexis and Tracy expressed regrets and pain over not having had the time or the courage to pursue a romance with Gregory, due to a fear of falling in love with someone who had a terminal condition. Perhaps it wasn’t meant to be a competitive move, but Tracy wasted no time to immediately follow up after Alexis spoke and share her feelings for the late Professor Chase. The two ladies have rarely had a pleasant interaction in the history of GH, so it would come as no surprise that they would be competitive with each other. Although, the hug they exchanged, though unexpected, seemed like a step forward in making peace.

However, the reaction of Gregory’s family and friends was the most compelling part of these revelations, as everyone was shocked to learn not only that these ill-fated romances existed, but whom they involved. It was especially and noticeably tense when Alexis announced that she and Gregory had shared a kiss after their skydiving adventure, which lead to Tracy’s questioning of Brook Lynn on whether she was aware of it. Are we to believe that Tracy really didn’t know about the feelings Alexis and Gregory had for each other? Surely, she must have guessed! Alexis was meant to be his date for Brook Lynn and Chase’s Wedding and Tracy was told by Gregory that Alexis wouldn’t be able to join him at the wedding, after all.

However, the most troubling issue surrounding the memorial service (other than Finn) was the absence of Lois, Ned and Olivia. It was very strange. Especially given the familial connections, how involved the three were in the wedding preparations and how grieved they were at the news of Gregory’s passing. Where were they?

In the beginning of May, Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) rallied many of her Daytime colleagues from various shows for the Daytime Unites fundraiser benefiting the research and care efforts of ALS One.
