Meet General Hospital’s Newest Aiden Colin Cassidy
General Hospital’s Aiden has a new face for the third time this year. When 2024 began, Enzo De Angelis was in the role. He was briefly recast with Tristan Riggs, but now Colin Cassidy is playing Lucky and Elizabeth’s son.
About Colin Cassidy
Cassidy made his GH debut as Aiden on the September 30 episode during some emotional and tender scenes with Elizabeth. Cassidy only has a handful of screen credits to his name and is thrilled to have landed his first major soap role.
“I feel incredibly grateful for this opportunity,” Cassidy told Soap Opera Digest. “To be thrown in with the incredible actors I’m working with and have these amazing scenes to do…It’s really not something to scoff at! It’s a big deal and I’m very grateful.”
What Happens For Aiden Next?
Despite his young age, Aiden has had quite a GH history. His paternity was called into question before he was even born after Elizabeth had an affair with Nikolas. Lucky was eventually revealed to be Aiden’s father, but has barely even been in the boy’s life.
As a small child, Aiden was bullied by his cousin, Charlotte, when they were both in Willow Tait’s third-grade class. Last Christmas, he came out to Elizabeth as gay and talked about his boyfriend Tobias. Earlier this spring, the story implied that he was being bullied in high school, but that plot never went anywhere.
Now, Aiden has to deal with the return of Aiden. Will his homosexuality be addressed or is that another storyline that has just fallen by the wayside? Stay tuned to find out what drama is in store for Elizabeth and her son.
