Patrika Darbo Brings Nancy Back to Days of our Lives With Daughter Joy

Everything old is new again on Days of our Lives as Nancy Wesley returns to Salem with a character we haven’t seen in almost 20 years, Nancy’s daughter Joy.

Welcome Back Nancy and Joy

The last time DAYS fans saw Joy she was only two years old, but now she is a young adult and something tells us the character is going to cause quite a bit of trouble. Joy will be played by soap opera newcomer AlexAnne Hopkins. The young actress was previously seen on Chicago PD and Criminal Minds.

Nancy and Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) left Salem with their toddler daughter in 2005, but were back for a brief storyline in 2022 sans Joy. Nancy was devastated that Craig had left her after decades of marriage. However, she was more hurt to learn he left her for a man. Craig admitted he had been in the closet for years, but that didn’t mean he never loved Nancy.

Craig nearly married Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) until he realized Leo was just after him for his money. Nancy nearly married Clyde Weston (James Read) until she learned he was a cold-blooded killer who brutally murdered Abigail DiMera. After Nancy decided to return to New York, she ran into Mike Horton the square and they went off to NYC together. Are they still together or has something changed?

Will Nancy’s other daughter, Chloe Lane, follow? Nadia Bjorlin’s Chloe left town a year ago after she broke things off with Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer), but there always seems to be story for Chloe when she is in Salem. Brady definitely won’t be with Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas) again when he is freed, so Chloe can give Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) a run for her money.
