Sam & Spinelli Are Playing With FBI Fire For Jason
Sam and Spinelli run around doing everything they can to protect Jason, the same way Carly and Jason have always run around trying to protect Sonny.
Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) plans to find out what the FBI has in store for won’t lead to any good. Not only will Jason hate that they went behind his back and put themselves in harm’s way, but that they may possibly jeopardize his deal with the FBI and the schemes he’s conducting with Anna.
Jason was already frustrated and displeased with Carly going to go see Brennan after she overheard him talking to Cates. So this new interference from Sam and Spinelli will be taken as a breach of trust and interference that will only add more work for him and Anna.
Despite his misgivings, and protestations Spinelli is in tough situation because he cares a lot about Sam and feels protective over her, so staying out of Jason’s business would be the safest things to do. On the other hand he cares a lot about Jason too, and knows that Sam won’t stay out of it and she doesn’t can’t hack into the FBI. And, who knows what shady characters she would have to employ and get involved with to get the hacking part of the job done.
“Do it for Danny,” she pleads with Spinelli. “He adores his father, and he just got him back. I don’t know what Danny would do if he lost Jason again.”
Sam told Jason that she no longer chases “the danger” the way she and Jason used to, and yet, here she is trying to insert herself into this FBI/Jason intrigue. Yes, she says it’s for her son, but perhaps she is still really drawn to Jason’s orbit? The endearing part about the whole kerfuffle is that Sam and Spinelli run around doing everything they can to protect Jason, the same way Carly and Jason have always run around trying to protect Sonny. Some things never change. Although, it’s much more Scooby-Doo than Mission Impossible when Sam and Spinelli do it.
However, Maxie may have the final say on any and all of Spinelli’s future decisions… Or at least he better not get caught!
