The Best and Worst of Days of our Lives for December 2-6

Days of our Lives brought the drama the week of December 2-6, 2024. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and Soap Talks has the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Salem this past week.

Best of DAYS

Honestly, Days of our Lives gave us an incredible week so it’s hard to pick just one moment. It’s also hard to choose bad moments. Seeing old faces and old friends from the 1970s and beyond was a treat for any longtime fan. Between Marie, Liz, Hope, Jack, Jennifer, and Steven, we were taken back decades. Newer faces also reappeared like Lani, Eli, Ciara, and Lucas.

Julie’s eulogy to Doug was something to behold, especially knowing Susan Seaforth Hayes said the same words for her husband, Bill Hayes, this past winter. When she saw Doug III appear before her, she thought she was seeing a ghost, but now Julie has someone new to dote on even if she doesn’t know he stole her grandmother’s diamond necklace.

Watching Marie and Liz fight like it was 1983 was like going back in time. Maree Cheatham didn’t even play Marie then but those moments in Horton Square were still perfect. We also got a taste of Stephen Schnetzer again. Another World fans have missed him for years and he would be a welcome permanent Salem addition.

Worst of DAYS

The worst of the week was on Friday when we were back to the reality that is Body and Soul. Johnny is arguing with cast members while his wife still thinks he is good and loyal. When will this story ever end?

Don’t forget to watch new episodes of Days of our Lives on Peacock starting at 6 AM ET each weekday.
