The Best and Worst of Days of our Lives for October 14-18

Days of our Lives brought the drama the week of October 14-18, 2024. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and Soap Talks has the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Salem this past week.

Best of DAYS

Paul Telfer broke our hearts as he absorbed the shocking information that his own mother was the one who ran down Sarah, left her for dead, and framed someone else to take the fall. Heck, she even tried to throw Sarah down the stairs in her wheelchair. We felt zero sympathy for Fiona, but Xander has our condolences for having such an awful mother.

Brady also let loose on Fiona and it was a beauty to behold. His rage was palpable and understandable and we can’t wait till Fiona is thrown into Statesville for a long time. Now, maybe Brady can get on with his life without enormous guilt.

Can we keep Casey Moss as JJ Deveraux? He was a sight for sore eyes and needed in Salem. There is so much more story left to tell for Jack and Jennifer’s son that it’s a shame this appearance looks like nothing but a guest appearance one-off.

Worst of DAYS

Did DAYS need to fulfill Josh Taylor and Mary Beth Evans’ minimums that we had to sit through these pointless scenes of expository dialogue as Kayla explained the Abigail situation to Roman, someone who had nothing at all to do with this story?

The teen scene is getting bland and starting to make no sense. Why is Ava now Sophia’s confidante and why don’t we know anything about Sophia’s life yet? We need some background on the character if we are going to form any attachment to her at all.

Johnny’s jealousy is both annoying and frustrating. He has no reason to suspect that Chanel and Alex are having an affair and he is getting close to breaking up his marriage with his irrational suspicions.

Don’t forget to watch new episodes of Days of our Lives on Peacock starting at 6 AM ET each weekday.
