The Best and Worst of Days of our Lives for September 16-20

Days of our Lives brought the drama the week of September 16-20 Some moments were hits, some were misses, and Soap Talks has the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Salem this past week.

Best of DAYS

Ava is single. Stefan is on the outs with his wife. So, a new pairing, anyone? We already know Tamara Braun and Brandon Barash work well together from when Ava was paired with Barash’s Jake. Plus, this will drive Gabi crazy, which is always fun to watch.

Sarah seems like she knows exactly who ran her down that fateful night but she isn’t telling anyone. That makes this story all the more compelling because she is trying to protect Xander’s heart by protecting his mother.

Jada did what others in the Salem PD can never seem to do. She used her detective skills and solved multiple crimes at once. That seems like a foreign concept to Rafe so maybe Jada should remain the police commissioner.

Worst of DAYS

Watching another week of Connie’s weirdness was taxing, but at least that saga seems to be over now. It’s a saga that never made sense and Connie should never have been a front-burner character for so long.

If Alex and Stephanie didn’t work the last time, they are not going to work this time so we’re not sure why DAYS seems to want to go there again. Both of them seem like the most fickle people in Salem, but at least Alex put the brakes on things…for now.

Why DAYS chose to bring on Xander’s mother only to have her be an unrepentant drunk who ran down Sarah with a car is beyond us. She was ruined before we ever got a chance to know her and elicits absolutely no sympathy.

Don’t forget to watch new episodes of Days of our Lives on Peacock starting at 6 AM ET each weekday.
