The Best and Worst of Days of our Lives for September 30-October 4

Days of our Lives brought the drama the week of September 30-October 4, 2024. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and Soap Talks has the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Salem this past week.

Best of DAYS

Eric’s return to Salem has served a great purpose. He is the one who was able to figure out that it was Fiona who ran down Sarah while simultaneously revisiting his own deadly drunk driving accident years ago. Tying the past into the present is what soaps are all about.

While Chad is completely snowed by FauxAbby, it is clear that Julie is not. That was a relief considering how easily people have been falling for this horrible con.

Evil EJ is in rare form as he uses his job to hurt anyone on a whim. We have seen shades of that evil EJ since Daniel Feiuerriegel took over the role, but this week he was once again back in full force.

Worst of DAYS

Body and Soul will never make sense and never work no matter how much this soap tried. The story was filmed nearly a year ago so it just needs to run its course. It is also rumored to be the reason that Ron Carlivati lost his job as head writer. So, yes, Body and Soul will always be the worst for the week on DAYS until the storyline mercifully comes to a close.

Clyde Weston should not be a powerful villain. Salemites have dealt with this man who keeps getting himself thrown in jail for years. He always seems to get caught, yet he is running some weird criminal operation from behind bars. Why can’t we get a real powerful villain and not this cartoon con man?

Chad is not usually this stupid so why is he falling for every word FauxAbby is saying? How does he not realize how bad he is being played?

Don’t forget to watch new episodes of Days of our Lives on Peacock starting at 6 AM ET each weekday.
