The Best and Worst of General Hospital for November 18-22

General Hospital brought the drama the week of November 18-22, 2024. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and Soap Talks has the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Port Charles this past week.

Best of GH

While saying goodbye to Sam McCall was hard, at least GH gave her a proper send-off filled with touching eulogies and tons of flashbacks. Her death still seems senseless but at least we got some tear-filled moments and absolutely incredible performances, especially from Nancy Lee Grahn.

Thank God Lulu Spencer is finally awake after four long years. Her eyes opening at the end of Sam’s funeral was expected, but it still felt right — as if Sam were coming back to life in the form of the woman who will probably end up raising her children.

GH set up a custody fight that certainly won’t be boring. Drew and Jason are two brothers who hate one another. After Jason and Drew’s fist fight the night before Sam’s funeral made things worse between them, now they are going to battle for custody of Danny. That should be a story worth watching.

Worst of GH

Yes, Lulu is awake, but she is also not hooked up to any machines and was able to get right out of bed after four long years in a coma. How does that work and how could GH be this stupid?

Drew is already manipulating to get his way in the custody battle and it’s not a good look at all. He knows he is to blame for Jason’s renewed hate toward him, but he is letting Alexis believe that Jason is just an out-of-control man with a temper.

Even after Sam’s funeral, Kristina was a bundle of me, me, me. Can she ever think of anyone besides herself? Even Kristina noted that she has some problems with that, so at least she has a smidge of self-awareness.

Don’t forget to watch new episodes of General Hospital each weekday on ABC and weeknight on Hulu.
