The Best and Worst of General Hospital for September 9-13

General Hospital brought the drama the week of September 9-13. Some moments were hits, some were misses, and Soap Talks has the rundown on what worked and what didn’t in Port Charles this past week.

Best of GH

When Jason is removed from Sonny and Carly’s orbit, he seems to shine. His scenes with Elizabeth and Anna were more compelling and interesting than when he told Carly she was the end-all and be-all in life. Anna is trying to get Jason to break free of that life and we hope she succeeds.

Bringing Rick Hearst back as Ric Lansing was one of the smartest things that GH has done in years. He is still as petty as ever and has chemistry with everyone he comes in contact with. Hearst slipped back into the role with ease and we never want him to leave again.

Petty Molly is the best Molly. She is the Molly who is just done caring about the ridiculous people in her life. Petty Molly is as fun as Petty Ric, which shows the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Perhaps Hot Mess Kristina takes after her mother while Petty Molly takes after her dad.

Worst of GH

Is Tracy falling for Cody? Is that why she objected to Sasha cooking brunch for Cody’s family? She seems jealous of the fact that Sasha and Cody are together, which is a little disturbing because that story just won’t work.

Michael spent well over a year determined to put his father in jail and even hired someone to infiltrate Sonny’s organization, rightfully calling Sonny a dangerous criminal. Now, he is covering up Sonny murdering John in cold blood. Hypocrite much, Michael?

Why is Natalia still around? While Eva LaRue has always been a soap fan favorite, they did a disservice by turning her new character into a homophobe who Sonny has no problem with. After the way Natalia hurt Kristina, it makes no sense for Sonny to trust her.

Don’t forget to watch new episodes of General Hospital each weekday on ABC and weeknight on Hulu.
