What Really Happened to Days of our Lives’ Li Shin?

When Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) turned up dead on Days of our Lives last year, the case seemed cut and dry. Gabi (Camilla Banus at the time, now Cherie Jimenez) was standing over Li’s bloodied body with a knife and Li named her as his killer before he took his last breath.

While Gabi languished in Statesville, fans knew she didn’t do it. We were finally vindicated when Li’s blood was found on Gil’s little black book and Gabi was freed. Li’s killer was already dead and couldn’t harm anyone else, right? Wrong!

Things Are Not What They Seem

Gabi was already walking free and reunited with Stefan (Brandon Barash) when the real truth came out. Connie Vinisckie (Julie Dove) was ready for another date with Li, but never really had a first date with her. Li turned her down in Small Bar last year, but Connie never got over it.

Instead, she convinced herself that she and Li were in a relationship. When Connie realized that Li only wanted Gabi despite how much she hurt him, Connie was incensed. She was angry at Gabi, but she was also furious at Li. How could he want a woman who left him for another man and tricked him out of his DiMera shares?

As Connie listened to Li go on and on about Gabi, she snapped and plunged a knife into his back when he wasn’t looking. Now, Connie thinks Li is still alive and living with her. She doesn’t seem to realize the cardboard cut-out she created is not Li at all. Yet somehow, she remembers that she is a murderer.

Connie Keeps Killing

Now, Connie can’t seem to stop killing because she needs to cover her tracks. Rafe (Galen Gering) was getting close to the truth, so she stabbed him in the back and now he remains in a coma

Everett/Bobby (Blake Berris) already knew the truth because he heard Connie talking to herself about Li’s death in the park. The Bobby personality had agreed to remain quiet, but Connie couldn’t take any chances so she poisoned him and now Everett/Bobby is dead.

Melinda (Tina Huang), who Li did want that night at Small Bar, could become Connie’s next casualty. She has been poisoned but it looks like Melinda survives. Could she be the one who finally brings Connie down so these Salem killings stop once and for all.
