The Return of Bo and Hope: Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso Back on Days of our Lives

Days of our Lives is bringing back Bo and Hope. Does his mean “Bope” fans will finally get their happily-ever-after?

“Bope” Will Be Back

When Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso reprised their roles as Bo and Hope in 2023, fans thought the pair would finally ride off into the sunset together, but it wasn’t meant to be. Instead, the moment Bo remembered his love for Hope, their son, Shawn-Douglas, shot Bo thinking he was protecting his mom.

Bo has been in a coma ever since with Hope by his side — off-camera in Greece. Now comes word that Reckell and Alfonso are back on the DAYS set filming scenes for a story arc that will air next May, which will also be the 40th anniversary of the couple’s first wedding in England.

Bo and Hope: Happy At Last?

Both Reckell and Alfonso have hinted to TV Insider that fans will not be disappointed by this return.

“Just like riding a bike,” Reckell said. “And thank goodness they keep one at the ready for me in Salem. This ride is one we know the fans are really going to love. Stay tuned!”

Alfonso was just as enthusiastic, saying, “Anyone who knows me knows how grateful I am to have all of you supporting me and welcoming me back when I’m back in Salem. These episodes with Pete will not disappoint,”

Fans were outraged in 2023 when Bo and Hope’s story ended the way it did. They had been waiting since 2015 to see this reunion and it just fell short for the beloved pair that first got together in 1983. Alfonso will also make an appearance later this year for the Bill Hayes/Doug Williams memorial, so fans can assume Bo will still be in a coma — at least until May…

Don’t forget to watch new episodes of Days of our Lives on Peacock starting at 6 AM ET each weekday.
