Jophielle Love Exits General Hospital As Violet Moves On
After five years on General Hospital, little Jophielle Love ended her run as Violet Finn on the October 21, 2024 episode.
Jophielle Love Says Goodbye To GH
Violet Finn said a tearful goodbye to Tracy (Jane Elliot) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) before Chase (Josh Swickard) accompanied her on a flight to Seattle to start a new life with her dad, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). Violet was sad to leave Port Charles and the Quartermaines but anxious to be with her father again.
Love was only five years old when she began her GH run back in 2019 and is now a 10-year-old tween who looks forward to what the future holds for her. However, may have been as sad as her alter-ego, Violet, to say goodbye to her soap opera life.
“Violet says, ‘It’s weird to feel so happy and so sad at the same time.’ She was happy to be on her way to see her dad, and also incredibly sad to leave her new home and family at the Quartermaines,” Love told Soap Opera Digest of her last scenes as Violet. “And I felt just like that on this last day. It was almost like crying while smiling… and then I realized I was the one going through that door.”
Love also hopes that she will return to GH one day, but for now, she is closing the door on Violet and ready to start new acting projects.
“I don’t know how or when, but I hope it is not in too long from now,” she said. “It would be great if I could come back with my dad but as we saw, there is no way of knowing what the story will be.”
Perhaps Violet can make guest appearances every once in a while like Brooklyn Rae Silzer does when she brings Emma Scorpio-Drake back to town.
