General Hospital’s Chad Duell Recast With Robert Adamson
When General Hospital’s Michael deals with family and marriage troubles this week, he will have a new-old face as Chad Duell won’t be in the role.
Welcome Back, Robert Adamson
Adamson already stepped in for Duell in 2022 when the actor was suffering from COVID-19. During that time, Michael was going through some dramatic stories. The first time Adamson played Michael, he and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) were in court fighting Nina when Nina sued for visitation rights to see Wiley. The next time Adamson stepped in was when Willow had a dream that Nelle (Chloe Lanier) returned from the dead and took Wiley.
Adamson is best known to soap fans for playing Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick’s (Joshua Morrow)son, Noah Newman, on The Young and the Restless. He held that role from 2012 to 2020 and last returned to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of Newman Enterprises. Rory Gibson was last seen as Noah in 2023.
When Adamson appears as Michael this week, the character might be in for quite a shock. A drunk Cody (Josh Kelly) decked Drew (Cameron Mathison) and blurted out that Drew had been sleeping with Nina while going after Nina’s daughter, Willow. With Drew running for Congress, that won’t help his campaign. However, it will also devastate Michael who trusted both Willow and Drew implicitly.
There’s no word on how long Adamson will be playing Michael, but the actor is said to be taking over the role temporarily as Duell had scheduling conflicts. Duell has been playing Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) son since 2012 and won an Emmy for his efforts in 2016 as Outstanding Supporting Actor.
