DAYS Spoilers, December 2: More Salem Returns to Say Goodbye To Doug

Days of our Lives spoilers for Monday, December 2, 2024, promise another heartbreaking and bittersweet day in Salem as the town comes together to bid farewell to a legend.

Julie’s Strange Encounter

Old family members fly in from everywhere to memorialize Doug (Bill Hayes). Expect to see Marie Horton (Maree Cheatham), Liz Chandler (Gloria Loring), and even Julie’s brother, Steven Olsen (Stephen Schnetzer). Julie has not seen her brother in years and is thrilled to welcome him to the Horton home. They share some tender moments both before and after the funeral.

When Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) visits Doug’s grave after a tender memorial, she is shocked to find a strange young man there. She asks him who is and learns that she is looking at Doug’s other grandson, Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer). What is he doing in Salem after all these years and how did he learn about Doug? Did Julie even know this young man existed?

A Horton House Family Surprise

Some cousins also get together at the Horton House, including Shawn (Brandon Beemer), Ciara (Victoria Konefal), Lucas (Bryan R. Dattilo), and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves). Oddly enough, Ciara is able to open that box found in the Horton attic earlier this year that Julie thought was locked forever.

Julie had given up on ever opening that box, but now that Ciara unlocked it, do we learn what treasures it holds? There is a reason it seemed to have fallen from heaven all those months ago. It’s like a sign from above as the cousins decide to go through the box. Will they find anything that can change the course of their lives — or at least any storylines?
