Call Me Crazy, but…

I realize that I might be in the minority here, but I have to say it upsets me to see Nina and Ava’s friendship end. I mean, yeah, I think it was pretty weird for Ava to become besties with the woman who stole her baby (after Nina induced her labor and then took off with the infant), but there was something about the connection and scheming between these two that I admired and enjoyed.

Not sure what Ava’s game is concerning Sonny; she keeps saying that her living with him is all about Avery (who, oddly enough, seems to be MIA whenever we see her parents at Sonny’s apartment), but was John, aka Jagger, on to something when he said that maybe Ava is missing mob life and wants to take over Sonny’s organization?

It was so nice to see Ava spend time with her daughter and Donna at Carly’s house months ago, seemingly making some kind of peace with Carly and Joss. In fact, Ava shines when she is with Trina, showing her lots of love and support. It is as though she was to compensate for the fact that she failed Kiki so many times, and indirectly caused her death at Ryan’s hands. However, this mess she is getting into with Sonny – especially withholding the information about his meds – can’t possibly end well for her. Carly is smart not to let Donna be with Sonny, and I do fear that this whole thing with the reduced medication might lead to trouble if he is left alone with Avery.

It got kind of intense when Ava and Nina spoke at the gallery in the May 14 episode, as Ava brought up Nina’s indiscretions – including baby snatching. Had Ava been pretending to be Nina’s friend the entire time? It never seemed that way to me.. Also, when Nina brought up Nicholas and Ava started to tell her about visiting him in prison, it seemed like she was trying to hang on to a connection, only to have Nina say she did not want to hear about it. I could see the hurt in Nina’s eyes when she told Ava that they could be business associates, but never friends.

Well, who knows? I mean if they could become friends after the whole baby stealing thing, why should a little thing like Sonny keep them apart?
